I am surviving my DIEt

Well, I've survived the first week of my DIEt.  I didn't even go in and nibble any of Robin's food.  I hate him.  Mom has made me get out of the bedroom and exercise.  So she carries me into the front room where Robin is, I hiss, Mom puts me down and I run back in the bedroom, in case Robin would get any ideas.  Then Mom comes and gets me and we repeat.  I sometimes get up on the cat tree to look out at the neighbors.  You never know what they are going to do.  Yeah.

Spring starts tomorrow but it sure feels like summer.  Mom already turned on the air conditioner.  We live in Florida so it gets hot fast.  And our lawn guy came this week and mowed the grass and weeds.  It looks better.  Mom says she has to do some trimming of stuff in the front tomorrow.  She is not happy.  Last year when she did that there was a snake in the palm tree.  I bet she checks this year before she starts.

Mom has been working hard.  When she gets home she doesn't want to help me write on here.  So she only lets me do this during the weekend.  She still likes her job, which is good.  I want her to continue to like her job.  It does take lots of thinking and communicating with folks all over the world.  That is kind of cool.

So, the heathens are still being heathens.  They will not change.  But as long as I get my alone time with Mom, I guess I am ok with them being here.

Louie is such a show off....look, he can touch his nether regions.  I can't even SEE mine!
Mom wanted the Heathens to come in...did they?  OF COURSE NOT!  Louie, trying to be cute.

Hermie!!!!!  You are being naughty and not coming in when Mom calls you!!!

Holy cats!!!!  Louie is tall.  Mom missed getting a picture of Louie as he tried to climb the screen.  He was trying to get to one of the wasps that were flying around outside.  No, he didn't get one.

Something strange is happening out on the patio.  There aren't any lizards.  None.  There are some on the outside of the screen but not on the inside.  I think they may have gotten some sense into their little brains.  The heathens will get them.  Shoot, I've gotten a few lizards even!

OK, I need to nap now.  I'm still trying to catch up from that daylight savings thing.  I want to save all my daylight.

It's official. I'm fat.

Yes, the doctor lady said 'she needs to lose weight' and 'she is square' (she giggled when she said that!)  Yeah, I know I am a little tubby.  I've been sneaking Robin's food, I like to sneak food.   The most horrible thing of course, Mom MOVED HIS FOOD!!!  Now it isn't where I can sneak it without getting close to him.  CRAP!

The doctor visit went well.  I was a good kitty, didn't growl or pee on anyone.  They gooshed over me too, at how pretty I am and now I clean up real nice.  They saw me the first day that Mom found me.  So they know.  They stuck that thermometer thingy up my butt, I don't like that.  They looked in my ears, they listened to my heart, she LOOKED AT MY TUMMY!  I was such a good kitty for all of that crap.  I was glad to go home though.

When we first got there...omg, Mom saw a puppy!  A guy brought his 8 week old pug puppy in for her first checkup.  Mom wanted the puppy.  Mom doesn't get baby fever, she gets puppy fever.  NO PUPPIES, NO DOGS!  I will admit, it was a cute puppy.  Kind of small though.

I came home after that ordeal and hid under the bed.  I forgave Mom later though and cuddled with her.

Mom went shopping this weekend too.  She got new sheets for the bed so us kitties can shred them.  And today she got a pair of slacks, top, cardigan and a new purse.  I think she was most excited about the purse.  She didn't like the one she had, it was 'hard' and not supple.  This one is just what she wanted.  Of course the shopping thing isn't over.  Mom still has to have some more things to wear.  It is the finding part that is hard.  She feels strange walking into some stores, like she doesn't belong (she does of course, it is inside her mind that is playing that trick on her).

I've been good, well, other than the snacking on Robin's food.  I've been a good girl.  I slept real close to Mom the night it was colder here.  I knew she needed me to keep her warm.

I am sorry I've not written much.  When Mom comes home she is tired and doesn't want to help me.  She says things like 'spreadsheets' and 'numbers' and is glad to be home with us kitties.  I tell you, she SMILES these days.  I hope this attitude continues for her.  I want her to be happy.

Yes, pack up the heathens and take THEM to the doctor lady!!!!

oh yeah, Mr. Smug.....I've smacked you and told you to stay out of MY bedroom....but I saw you last night, in my bathroom with me.

sigh....isn't he cute.  For a heathen.

Wait, isn't SQUARE a shape?

I've got to rest to conserve my energy.  This DIEt thing sucks!!!!

Tiring times

Wow, we had a busy week last week.  At least Mom did.  She WORKED again.  She even went into work early 2 days.  She was the first one in the office at 10 minutes till 7 on Thursday and Friday.  Friday they were testing the fire alarms.   She thought she would get to come home early on Friday but stuff happened and she didn't leave the office till after 4pm.  Bummer.  Hopefully this next week will be better for her.

Mom has been busy all weekend too.  She doesn't rest.  OK, so she does.  She fell asleep at 10pm last night.  Exhausted Mom.

Robin got a new litter box.  He christened it immediately.  Mom hopes that it will be ok for him, he can still stand up and pee but it doesn't go anywhere but the litter box.  There is a large puppy pad under the box so if there is leakage, it is caught there.  All of us kittiesgot our boxes cleaned out.  And the other heathens went back to the Booda litter box.  Robin peed in there too.  We all have new litter.  It is WONDERFUL.  Mom needed to do that.
That is Robin's new box.  He likes to stand up on the edge when he lots of room for him to do that.

The other heathen's litter box.  Louie can STILL poop outside of the box but at least it is sort of contained.  And Robin, well, he peed on the wall so that some came down those little steps.  I tell ya, heathens, they are talented.

Mom trimmed back the crepe myrtle trees in the back yard.  She pulled them back quite a bit.  The amount of trimmings were HUGE.  And her arms are already hurting.
The branches on those trees were at least 6 feet up.  Yeah, LOTS of fun.  Mom is hurting.

Of course the heathens were of no help.  They just wanted to see the big snipper and the gloves.  That is a VERY big snipper.

I of course helped Mom make the bed.  I held the sheet down so it wouldn't fly away.  And I did it while looking cute.

This is my sexy pose.  I don't let many folks see it.  I'm really a shy kitty.

I better get some rest.  Helping Mom was HARD WORK!  Whatever Mom is making for dinner smells good.  What?  Beef Burgundy?  OOOOO, that sounds good.  Is that a new Fancy Feast flavor?  Oh, kitties can't have any cause it is cooked with onions.  Bummer.  I was all ready to have some.  I'll just be over here nibbling on my fat girl kibble.
